Data Source & Limitations
- Live data: All data is fetched in real-time from the HN Algolia API when you load this page. Results may vary slightly between sessions.
- API cap: The Algolia API limits results to 1,000 hits per query. To work around this, the dashboard splits requests into multiple time ranges. If a single range grows beyond 1,000 submissions, the oldest posts in that range may be missing. As of early 2026, all ranges are well within the cap.
- Blog author data: Author attribution comes from scraping Cloudflare blog post pages, not from HN. Some posts (especially older ones) may have incomplete or missing author info.
